Lilly feels very connected to her work and gravitated to textiles, and that textiles can be fine art and not just classed as ‘kitch’ known for ‘sentimental work pieces. 

We also discuss the theories and ideologies behind Lily’s work, and how she was inspired by “Wire Monkey And Cloth Monkey" experiments that were conducted in the 1950s by psychologist Harry Harlow at the University of Wisconsin.
